Polish Comparison

I did a comparison swatch to show the difference between Scrangie (By RLB=Rescue Lounge Beauty) and Going Grape by Sally Hansen. The main goal was to see if Going Grape is a dup for Scrangie. WEll, ummm, ....No, it really is not. I used three coats (layers) of both polishes and the difference is very visible. I love both colors, they are just not one in the same. Scrangie has so much more depth, detail, glimmer, and 'extraness' going on. Going Grape is still beautiful. It's just not a true Scrangie dup.

NOTD - Nude Polish Look

I am wearing a nude look today. I started with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Quick Sand. I hated this color alone but, it's so pretty in the bottle. So I picked up Essie's Nude Beach (pale, sheer, shimmer color) and applied two coats on top of the Quick Sand. This is a beautiful look together. I am glad I didn't give up on this polish and let Essie save the day! Pictures show inside and outside lighting.

Milani Liquif Eye metallic eye liner Pencil

The Milani Liquif Eye metallic eye liner is the business!! If you don't own this liner, run out and get it. This liner was love at first swipe. It's so creamy and goes on very smooth. If you have tried the Urban Decay Zero liners, this one has the same smooth application. I actually like this one better than the Urban Decay liners for me. PLUS, it cost over ten bucks less. HUGE bonus! I knew this one was a winner for me when I worked out twice in one day and the liner didn't budge! Now that is some staying power and I have really oily lids/skin.

This liner comes in black, brown, aqua, gold, and silver. The black is the blackest black liner I have seen in awhile. The brown is so dark, rich, and beautiful. I would call it a black brown. I wear this one more often. Also, the black and brown is not metallic at all. (So don't let that scare you.) I love that is not shiny and sparkly looking! They will only cost five or six dollars.

Again, if you don't have this liner, get it! (and get more than one color too.)

Banana Pudding

Okay, let me see how I want to start this one. I will take it all the way back to when I was a lad. I have always loved Banana Pudding MINUS the banana. It's a texture thing. The bananas get all slippery and slimy and ummm......wet. Anyway, my Godfather spoiled me. He would make banana pudding for the family and always make me some (without bananas) and put it to the side. Well my Gdaddy is 9.5 hours away and I can't get my special banana pudding unless I go home and he has time to do it.

Fast forward, I have been wanting some banana pudding in the worse way. So I decided I would make it myself. My Gdaddy always said, "It's the recipe on the box baby." Well I did it! :) Well it wasn't right! :( I was missing that banana flavor or something. It also was a tad to thick. His pudding is on the thinner side. My child and I ate it; but it wasn't what I really wanted. It was good, but not magical. (Yes, I was expecting to see fairies and fairy dust in my kitchen when I pulled it out the oven.)

I hate box jello pudding. It's too thick as well. So I guess it's back to the drawing board for me. I was so excited but I think he did or does something a little differently from the recipe on the box.

NOTD - Sally Hansen

I was in a hurry today and reached for Sally Hansen Insta- Dry nail polish in Urgent Orcid. This is a really beautiful purple creme' color. It only took one coat to reach perfection. <-- I am normally a three coat polisher. The color dried in no time flat and I was out the door. I love love love the brush on the polish. It flat and wide. I want more colors by this brand!

My Anniversary

Alert - Non beauty related.

Today is my anniversary and I wanted to share how thankful I am to God for putting this union together. (Because we both know it Him.) Marriage is a beautiful thing. Don't ever let anyone tell you it's a walk in the park; because that's a lie. On the other hand, don't let anyone lead you to think it's all a 'ball and chain' type of thing either. A marriage takes work. There must be some real work put in to make it work. I don't mind putting in a little work. ;o)

Just wanted to share. Have a great day.

NOTD

Zoya - Anastasia

A nice pretty brown. I really love this color. Zoya polishes are on top on my favorite brands list.
